I've finally finished updating the English part of my website. I hope you'll enjoy it!

I'm really sorry I didn't write for such a long time - again!

Since six weeks I'm now back in Hanover and - like the first month in Emden - I didn't have access to the internet until tuesday. As I lived in Emden for about eleven months (after the qualification I finally got a fixed-term employment contract in Emden so I that I stayed there for another three months), I can't tell you all what happened in this time, but I took many pictures you'll find here. For now, I'll only tell you that after working in the museum and the tourist information I also worked in a special exhibition about the history of fishing of herrings in Emden and paintings of vessels built or registered in Emden.

I also updated my German web site. As soon as I've finished the new Design for the English part of the page, I'll of course tell you. And I hope (but I won't promise) that I'll write in this blog more than until now.

Yeah, I'm finally back again!

After moving to Emden about a month ago I finally got access to the internet last week. You may now ask why I moved here: As I didn't find work after my studies at university, I'm now participating in a qualification scheme (I'm not sure this is the right term). After eight months I'll be a kind of cultural Manager (again not sure about the term). To achieve this I'm working in a museum (in my case it's the "Ostfriesisches Landesmuseum Emden") for about four months and afterwards in the "Marketing and Tourismus GmbH Emden" (a kind of tourist-information). Additionally I attend courses about computing and cultural or touristic work.

I just released some photos of Emden, a city located in northwestern Germany in the Region of East Frisia (Ostfriesland), and Norddeich, which is situated about half an hour away from Emden. You'll find the photos by clicking on the name of the city, but I have to confess that I couldn't translate very much.
